Meet Jennifer Sherak
Founder & Chief Formulator
For more than thirty years, Jennifer Sherak helped develop therapies in the pharmaceutical industry. Then her skin began to change, and she realized the products she was using had never been designed for women like her. So, at 54, she set out to build Sherak.
Formulated and founded by a midlife chemist, made for every woman who refuses to believe her best years are behind her.
In her words
I fell in love with the beauty business at seven, sorting lipsticks and body care on my grandmother’s kitchen table. She was an Avon lady, and to me she was something close to magic: a woman who made other women feel beautiful and paid me in lip balm and bubble bath. By nine, I had my own chemistry set and a question I asked again and again: “How do I make this better?”
That question became a 30 year career. I trained as a chemist and spent decades in the pharmaceutical industry, developing therapies for some of the most complex, unmet medical needs. My last position was an executive role at a Fortune 10 healthcare company. I learned to respect evidence, insist on precision, and never make a promise the science could not keep. Those are not marketing words to me. They are simply how I was taught to work.
Then midlife arrived, and my skin began to change. Like so many women I know, I reached for the products I had trusted for years, only to find they no longer had much effect on my skin. So I did what any scientist does. I started researching existing brands, looking for skincare based on biotechnology for mature skin. I couldn't find it. The beauty industry prefers to focus on youth rather than on women over 40. That is when I knew I needed to do something about this.

So, I built what I could not find.
