With 2026 kicking off, I always like to map out my skincare plan for the year, and I do this very intentionally (you’ll see why later). And remember: skin health is cumulative. What you do consistently in January is what shows up on your face in July and December.
So, let’s get started…
Great skincare doesn’t need to be complicated.
But it does need:
- Quality
- Science-backed products and treatments
- And consistency- consistency, consistency, consistency!
2026 is the Year of More at Sherak. More intention. More science. More results. And that starts with a routine you can actually follow.
Below is my exact approach- daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonally- designed specifically for maturing skin and built around biotechnology, peptides, and intentional luxury skincare.
The Non-Negotiable Foundation: Daily Skincare (AM + PM)
Every single morning and night, I use the Sherak System. No exceptions.
Why? Because maturing skin requires potent activity. As estrogen declines, our skin’s ability to naturally regenerate, produce collagen and elastin, and maintain firmness slows dramatically. This is where peptide skincare becomes essential.
At the center of the Sherak System is our Pentapeptide Matrix™, a biotechnology-powered blend created specifically for women over 40. Peptides are critical at this stage because they support cell renewal, help stimulate the skin’s collagen and elastin production pathways, improve firmness, texture, and resilience and help slow visible skin aging by working with your skin’s biology.
Morning Routine (AM): Cleanse → Treat → Protect
- Apply the full Sherak System as designed to work synergistically
- Follow with sunscreen every single morning
If you do nothing else consistently, protect your skin from UV damage. Sunscreen preserves collagen, protects peptides from degradation, and ensures all your luxury skincare actually delivers long-term results.
Evening Routine (PM): Where Results Are Built
Nighttime is when skin shifts into repair mode and this is where I layer in one additional powerhouse ingredient. I apply the full Sherak System as in the AM, and mix in tretinoin (Retin-A) with the Barrier Shield Moisturizer.
The tretinoin and moisturizer mix beautifully. And this combination gives you what I call the 1–2 punch.
- Retinoid to support accelerated cell turnover and texture refinement
- Peptides to support renewal, firmness, and elasticity
- Barrier-strengthening ingredients to keep skin calm, hydrated, and resilient
For women over 40, this matters. Retinoids are powerful; but only when the skin barrier is supported. This approach delivers results without compromising skin health.
At-Home Treatments: Red Light Therapy
At home, I also do red light therapy for 10 minutes:
- Every day if I can
- At least 3 times per week consistently
Red light therapy supports:
- Cellular energy production
- Skin repair processes
- Overall tone and firmness
Think of it as a quiet overachiever. It works best when layered on top of a strong skincare foundation—especially peptide-based skincare.
In-Office Treatments: Strategic, Not Excessive
Chemical Peels
I do a VI Peel or SkinMedica Peel every other month—except in summer.
Why? Peels increase sun sensitivity, so once I start spending more time outdoors, peels pause. Skin health is always about timing and intention.
Fall reset:
In the fall, I do two VI Peels to help undo accumulated sun damage from summer and reset skin tone and texture.
Laser Treatments
Before the holidays, I’ll often do a laser facial (like Halo). This helps refine texture, boost radiance, and enhance firmness, especially when combined with a strong peptide skincare routine at home.
Neuromodulators
I personally use Dysport every four months.
Used strategically, neuromodulators can soften expression lines and help preserve a rested, natural appearance, especially when combined with skincare that supports collagen and elastin.
Why At-Home Skincare Matters Even More If You’re Doing MedSpa Treatments
This part is important.
If you’re spending money at a medspa, it’s even more critical to support your skin at home. Professional treatments create change, but home skincare can help the results last. Quality skincare can help your skin heal properly, strengthen your skin, and provide added benefits. But this only happens when your skin is supported daily with quality, science-backed skincare.
I like to call it intentional skincare- it's not random, trending products- it’s not overcomplicated – it’s just thoughtful, scientifically intelligent skincare!
The Takeaway: Your 2026 Skin Plan
Remember, consistency, consistency in taking care of your skin at home. Quality beats quantity and science beats hype.
And for women over 40, more really is more when it comes to the right ingredients, especially peptides.
If you follow this guide, daily skincare, strategic treatments, and intentional support, you will thank yourself later. Your skin will look firmer, healthier, and more radiant, not just for an event or a season, but for years to come. It’s all about longevity and making sure our skin stays healthy and resilient for the long run.
This is skin renewal chemistry at its finest.
And 2026? We’re doing it with purpose.
With confidence, chemistry, and clarity,
Jen
