Being a woman 70+ years old and always taking care of others, I have not always been good treating myself to a few simple pleasures. This facial serum works well. It is lightweight and absorbs quickly. It does not cause irritation or redness. This serum has a scent to it that reminds me of lavender and mint. This serum by Sherak Skin was easy to apply and I will continue to use it up. It does have a fragrance scent to it but it is light and I cannot smell it once it is on my face. The serum is lightweight and is easy to spread around the skin. The serum does have a slightly tacky feeling once it is on the skin so I prefer to use this in the evenings. The tackiness though is very slight and not that noticeable. I like that all I have to do is put a moisturizer on top for a complete evening skin routine. I cannot speak to the effectiveness as it takes many weeks to see results but after 2 weeks, I have enjoyed using it. This was gifted by sherak skin in exchange for a review.

This barrier shield moisturizer has been my new favorite skincare product. It smells so nice & fresh and really helps to diminish pores and help uneven skin tone. As a person with maturing, dry skin, I need all the help I can get in the moisturizing step. So I absolutely love that this is such a rich & restorative moisturizer! Peptides have always served me well, and pairing that with a barrier supporting formula is so smart. I have been pairing it with my retinoid as the second step. Works great for that as it doesn't contain retinoids (it does contain bakuchiol which I have always liked pairing with my retinoid. why choose one or the other when you can have both lol).

Note that this does have a scent to it. It's an oddly familiar scent though I can't place it?

I was fortunate to receive this complimentary from sherak skin for testing purposes, and upon the very first application I noticed something: wow, this feels REALLY nourishing. Perfect for my dry skin type! This is the kind of serum that I think some folks might call "heavy", but let me tell ya, as you start getting up there in age, your skin needs a real big "glass of water" so to speak. So I loved it from first use.

I looked a little more into the brand, and I gotta say: I love what they are doing. No wonder it feels this way, it's made for us! Finally, a brand that recognizes 40+ skin needs different products from 20 year old Tiktokers (no offense to them, we love them too).

I've continued to use this and I cannot believe the difference I am seeing in my skin. That extra peptide formula really shines for me! Skin looks almost bouncy?
